This thing called love

This thing called love

It’s just a thing…no?

’cause it mighty gets me confused at times

No…most times!

Perhaps not the love itself

The relationship part.

Saved by His Hand

Today I thank God for my life, I always do. But today was unique as I came across a situation that was out of my control and I can bear witness that only God could have saved me from a near car accident at Waiyaki Way. The careless driving of the driver who almost had me crash as  he cut across my lane and slowed almost to a halt in front of me without warning made me swerve to avoid colliding head-on to his car as I stepped on the brake. This left me angry and almost cursing to no end, but for God. The way the hand of God steered my car at that moment left me in awe. YES, it was the hand of God as I had a brain freeze, don’t know what to do, panic-stricken moment in a split second that felt like eternity in slow motion, fearing I would crash as I swerved (without checking if there was other traffic because of brain-freeze & panic! ) but something divine happened and I felt my hands steer the car back straight to my lane (not of my own strength) and I was able to move on (heart in mouth) since the other driver had entered into the adjacent petrol station (but why wait and cut off someone from their lane instead of planning to change lanes a good distance before? God forgive such!).

This incident reminded me of God’s Word to his children from Psalms 91:11,12 (NKJV):-

For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

God keeps

God wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations. But he also pays back those who hate him, pays them the wages of death; he isn’t slow to pay them off—those who hate him, he pays right on time.
